Supporting Lynda Dawn on her debut headline tour was an experience I will never forget! Stopping off in Manchester, Bristol and Leeds, we connected with each other and some wonderful people who've been following us for a while; it was special!

Exploring the sonic spectrum between soul, funk and jazz she draws upon her musically inclined upbringing to deliver a distinctive style of storytelling. She is a captivating performer, with a flawless vocal. If you get the chance to see her live, don't miss it!

Known for effortlessly blending classic soul with contemporary R&B, Dawn creates an auditory experience where the golden age of soul and today's vibrant soundscape harmoniously coexist.'

Manchester - Monday 31st March 2025 - The Deaf Institute
First stop, Manchester, on a cold March evening, just days after I'd left my day-job. I felt so nervous and yet so free. It always feels really good when people come down early to listen to the support act and this crowd were so kind and supportive. What made this show even more amazing was the fact that my go-to Japanese restaurant 'Umami' was right around the corner, so I was able to have my favourite meal before the show. A dream come true...
With Bristol up next, we drove down straight after the show so that we'd wake up at my mum's in Bristol and be able to make the most of it. It was my first time ever playing a show in Bristol, other than the open mic nights and pubs I used to sing at, way before I knew that I had something of my own to say with music.
This gig was at Rough Trade and our green-room was pretty much the whole store, which was a cool experience. My sister was there, and one of my best friends from uni and a few of my cousins. Dancing to Lynda Dawn's set with them filled me with joy, especially since my sister had sent me her music years before - I felt really full-circle. After the show, I met a lovely couple who'd been following me for a few years, which made me feel really emotional, they were lovely. Here are some photos from after the show with Lynda.
Bristol - Tuesday 1st April 2025 - Rough Trade, Bristol
After a second night staying with my mum, we headed up to Leeds, via the BEST services in the country, Gloucester services where K and I sat and had a full English overlooking the pond, so wholesome. We arrived in Leeds, were the fur coat was definitely needed and indulged in a Thai meal (Asian food featured heavily on this tour) - Nothing beats a red prawn curry with boiled rice before a show...Z
The venue was really cool, and the sound engineer was a dream to work with. The mic he had for me was this SE chrome mic, and I knew, from that point onwards, i'd need this mic for my live shows. It was so lovely chatting with Lynda Dawn in the dressing room, which she very kindly offered to share with me (and the rest of the crew). Being an artist can be a really lonely adventure, so being able to connect with a woman as inspiring as Lynda Dawn was a real treat. I'm grateful for her genuine kindness, generosity and for her support. Here's some photos from after the show.
Leeds - Wednesday 2nd April 2025 - Headrow House
Thank you to Lynda Dawn and Bobby for having me, and for making this such a wonderful experience. Thank you to all of the lovely people who came out to see me after following me for some time, and i'm so glad you loved Lynda Dawn too! Thank you to Max for accompanying me and finally, the biggest thanks to Keeks for always being by my side, doing the driving, making sure I eat and sleep, and helping me choose my outfits, because everybody needs a hand sometimes. Until next time x
