'Not for me' LYRICS

‘Not For Me’ is a song about one of the darkest periods in my life. I didn’t know that I’d make it out of the other end, but I did. This song has evolved with me. This is a song about learning who you are and how to say no.

12 stories high, views of the city,

All the streets they seem to turn the wrong way

Faces blur, through the bottom of the glass

Who have I become under this glitter mask?

Hedonism, malbec wine,

Dark red overcame my mind

Still, I’m, led by, the line…

Round and round in circles,

Are they friends or are they foes?

I don’t know, I’ll just sit by my window…

They played for thrills,

But I played for keeps,

A game of their rules,

That I couldn’t leave, so,

I tell myself that’s not for me…

If there was one thing, I’d tell little Ni,

Just ‘cause your lost,

You’re not out of reach, so,

Just tell yourself that’s not for me.

I am searching for the peace in my mind,

(I can’t find my way through the night,

I can’t find my way through the night…)

Maybe I’m the light I, need, but can’t find,

(Won’t wait for horizon’s sunrise,

Won’t wait for her eyes in sunrise…)

They played for thrills

But I played for keeps

A game of their rules

That I couldn’t leave, so,

I tell myself that’s not for me…

If there was one thing, I’d tell little Ni

Just ‘cause your lost,

You’re not out of reach, so,

Just tell yourself that’s not for me

They played for thrills

But I played for keeps

A game of their rules

That I couldn’t leave, so,

I tell myself that’s not for me,

That’s not for me,

It’s not,

If there was one thing… I’d tell little Ni

You’re not out of reach, so,

Just tell yourself, that’s not for me

That's not for me…
