NI MAXINE ANNOUNCES BIGGEST HEADLINE YET IN LIVERPOOL

There is nothing I love more than playing a show in my hometown, Liverpool. After a sold-out show Upstairs at LEAF on Bold Street with HSP PRESENTS, we're going for a headline show at 24 Kitchen Street, one of a handful of Black owned venues in Liverpool. I have enjoyed many a night in their upstairs room and supported both Emma-Jean Thackray and Ishamael Ensemble in the main venue, so it feels really full circle to be returning for my own headline show to mark the release of my debut EP 'Mother's Arms', out Wednesday 4th March 2026. For me, music has always existed in a live setting before being recorded, I guess that's how I came to music, through singing jazz songs in bars and restaurants, open mics in my early days, then singing at 'Jazz After Dark' a dive bar in Soho then busking on Bold Street then residencies at Ropes & Twines, Duke Street Market, Ripolin and more...

Once I started writing my own songs and getting support from various 'talent development partners', and having demos played on BBC Introducing (nationally), I played on huge stages from The Liverpool Philharmonic to Africa Oyé (twice) to Lush Life at We Out Here to Mostly Jazz Festival (Birmingham) to the Eurovision Village stage (25,000 capacity), which have all been such inspiring experiences.

In the Spring, I played one of my favourite shows to date and here was a comment from a dear supporter, which means the world...

This April 2026 Liverpool show is the first of what is shaping up to be a wonderful Spring tour where I'll be on the road playing new music that you can actually listen to before the show, a first for me! I've been having at least one session a week lately too, so i've got loads of brand new music to share with you, which i'm looking forward to moulding and shaping even more before we get to be in a room together again.
